pobl. is an independent talent consultancy specialising in medical communications. We're working with an ambitious med comms consultancy to recruit a Senior Account Executive to join their Oxford-based team and take on a role that sits at the operational centre of how their accounts run.
This is an opportunity to step into real responsibility. You'll own project schedules, manage client relationships, flag risks before they become problems, and increasingly contribute to account strategy. You'll be the person clients trust, the colleague who raises the bar on how work gets done, and someone with genuine scope to grow into account leadership.
You'll be joining at a point where the account is busy and ambitious. In year one, you'll establish yourself as the operational anchor that keeps everything moving. Over time, you'll have real influence on how the account develops and the team evolves.
This is a permanent, hybrid role (3 days per week in office). The team is collaborative, the clients are demanding, and there's real room for someone who can step up and make an impact.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the operational rhythm of multiple concurrent programmes, managing schedules, stakeholder communication, and budget tracking
- Act as the trusted point of contact for clients across a full range of medcomms outputs: publications, slide decks, infographics, congress materials, and strategic communications
- Raise the bar on how work gets scoped, delivered, and quality-assured, setting a standard that both internal teams and clients respect
- Support and mentor junior colleagues, building capability and clarity around expectations and development
What We're Looking For
- At least 18 months' experience in medical communications, with proven ability to manage complex, concurrent projects
- Excellent written and spoken communication, and genuine comfort building relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Strong organisational instinct, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving—you spot issues early and suggest solutions
- Collaborative mindset and genuine interest in the science and strategy behind the work
- Comfortable with MS Office and willing to travel domestically and internationally when needed
