We're hiring for a Senior Medical Writer to join a highly-regarded, international MedComms agency known for their collaborative culture, scientific excellence, and commitment to high-quality client work.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of client projects, this agency is looking for an experienced medical writer to take ownership of scientific content across a range of therapy areas and deliver impactful communications for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.
This hybrid (Cheshire, Manchester, or Oxford) or remote role (based in the UK) is ideal for an established medical writer who enjoys working across a variety of projects, partnering with clients, and supporting the development of more junior team members.
What you'll be doing
Scientific Content Development: Lead the development of clear, accurate, and engaging scientific materials, including slide decks, advisory board content, training materials, publications, medical education resources, and digital communications.
Project Ownership: Manage writing projects from briefing through to final delivery, ensuring content is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest scientific and editorial standards.
Team Support and Mentoring: Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior writers, contributing to a collaborative team environment and supporting ongoing development.
The experience you'll need
Medical Writing Expertise: Significant experience in a medical communications agency environment, with a proven track record of producing high-quality scientific content across a range of deliverables.
Scientific Background: A degree in life sciences is essential, with an MSc or PhD advantageous.
Communication and Organisation: Strong client-facing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
