About
I'm a PhD-qualified biologist with seven years of research experience in tumor biology, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, and nanomedicine, now looking to move into medical communications. One of my research projects on tumor-immune and tumor-microbial interactions, and how these can be modulated using metal nanoparticles, has resulted in publications in Q1- and Q2-ranked international journals, with several related projects still ongoing.
Writing has been central to my academic work: I've authored my PhD dissertation, multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts, and numerous successful grant proposals, and I regularly draft regulatory and ethics documentation, including animal-study permit applications. I also have 5+ years of teaching experience, instructing students in coursework and lab training, work that's sharpened my ability to explain complex science clearly.
I'm particularly drawn to oncology and immunology, and I'm looking for an entry point into the industry, whether an entry-level medical writer/editor role or freelance project work, where I can bring this scientific depth to clear, accurate healthcare and pharma content.
