About
I connect organizations to the people they serve — through strategic communications, government relations, and public affairs. I'm currently a Sr. Communications Specialist at Entergy, leading internal communications for a 1,500-person operations and field workforce across the Gulf South — including a campaign that drove a 45% increase in intranet engagement, and crisis/storm-response communications reaching the full workforce within 24 hours during storm outage events. Before that, as Director of Government Affairs for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, I built the Chamber's advocacy program from the ground up, managing a $1.5M budget and growing our Economic Outlook Conference — featuring Fortune 500 CEOs — to 300 attendees and 7 high-profile speakers. Since 2011, I've also run McZeal Project PR, my own communications and event marketing firm, delivering roughly 5 major campaigns a year — from entertainment PR (including the debut stage play "Even a Good Man is Tempted," starring Shirley Murdock and other TV/film actors) to corporate branding for oil and gas clients to my own author platform for "H.E.R.: Healed, Elevated and Restored." MPA in Government and Policy (Grand Canyon University); BA in Public Relations (University of Louisiana at Lafayette) — a combination that lets me operate at the intersection of communications, marketing, and policy.
