About
A BSc Hons Biomedical Sciences graduate looking to start my career in medical communications. My dissertation involved a First Class systematic literature review and statistical analysis comparing interventions for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, giving me a strong grounding in critical appraisal of clinical evidence. I've built on this through an optional module in Science Communication and Public Engagement, where I designed a public engagement event for the Canterbury Festival Science Strand and wrote a public-audience science article for The Conversation. Additionally I have completed a scientific writing course with the University of Leeds.
Alongside my studies, I've worked in healthcare administration roles (most recently as a GP Assistant), drafting and processing clinical correspondence and translating clinical information for patients, which has kept me close to real medical communication daily.
I'm now looking for an entry-level opportunity - internship or Associate Medical Writer role -where I can develop my scientific writing within a supportive team and build a long-term career in medical communications.
