We're hiring for a Principal Medical Writer to join a global healthcare communications agency within an experienced and highly-regarded team. You will act as a strategic and scientific partner for clients, delivering medical education programmes across various therapy areas and asset lifecycles. The role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid working from locations across the UK, including London, Macclesfield, and Manchester.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the development of scientific strategy and high-quality medical communications content, ensuring all deliverables align with client commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a primary scientific lead and reviewer, maintaining factual accuracy and providing strategic counsel to build long-term professional partnerships with international clients.
- Collaborate across internal divisions and account management teams to mentor junior writers, manage project resources, and ensure excellence is delivered on time and within budget.
The experience you'll need
- Significant medical writing experience within a healthcare communications agency setting, with a proven track record of creating diverse scientific outputs for varied audiences.
- A degree in a scientific, medical, or life sciences field, complemented by the ability to quickly establish yourself as a therapy area expert.
- Strong leadership skills, including experience in reviewing the work of others, mentoring team members, and contributing to strategic medical discussions.
